    The four sizes and what they cost

    Every port is built from the same rotomolded HDPE cube we use in our docks. Each cube covers 2.691 square feet, sits on a 500 mm pitch, carries 220 pounds of flotation, and is UV stabilized so it does not chalk out in Florida sun. That is why cube count is a useful shorthand for size: an 18-cube Compact and a 27-cube Max are the same product with different footprints, not two different levels of quality.

    How to pick a size

    Start with the overall length of your craft, which is printed in the owner's manual and on most manufacturer spec sheets. You want the hull fully supported bow to stern, with a little room at each end so you are not fighting to line up on the approach. As a rule, pick the port whose length matches or slightly exceeds your craft. A 10-foot stand-up or a short two-seater is at home on the Compact. Most three-seat runabouts land on the Classic, which is why it is our most popular size. Longer or heavier three-seaters, especially supercharged hulls that sit deep at the stern, do better on the Pro. The Max exists for the biggest craft and for owners who want extra deck around the ski to work from.

    The second thing to think about is freeboard — how high the craft sits once it is up out of the water. A heavier hull pushes the port down, which makes the drive-on ramp shallower and easier, but it also means more of your ski stays wet if you undersize the port. A lighter craft on an oversized port rides high and drives on cleanly. If you are between two sizes and your ski is on the heavy end of its class, go up a size rather than down. If you are unsure, call us with the model year and we will tell you which port we have put under that hull before.

    Water depth matters too. A drive-on port needs enough depth at the approach for your pump to stay clear of the bottom as you come on. If you are working with a shallow, weedy shoreline, tell us — that usually changes where we position the port more than which port you buy.

    What is included, and what is extra

    The price of the port includes the port itself, all connecting pins, the cube pin tool and the wrench. There is nothing else to buy to have a working, floating port, and nothing to rent. No concrete, no pilings, no crane.

    What is extra is the hardware that holds the port where you want it, and that depends entirely on your shoreline:

    • Anchors, $370 each. Count depends on depth, bottom type and exposure.
    • Standoff pipe with seawall brackets, $420. Holds the port off a seawall while letting it rise and fall.
    • Hand crank winch, $360. Useful where you want to pull the craft the last few feet rather than power on.

    In Florida, delivery of a jet ski port is free and installation is optional at $200. That is a genuinely optional line: the port arrives ready, and plenty of owners set it themselves in an afternoon. Add the install if you would rather we position it, anchor it and tie it into your existing dock or seawall properly the first time. Note that this is different from our dock and swim platform pricing, where Florida delivery and professional installation are already in the number.

    Outside Florida we sell kits only. The product price is the same, freight is quoted per destination rather than estimated in advance, you or your contractor receives and assembles the shipment, and Trex decking is not available. Full detail is on our nationwide shipping page.

    Payment on all orders is 50% to schedule and 50% on completion.

    Why a floating port usually costs less than a piling-mounted lift

    A conventional PWC lift is a structure. It needs pilings driven into the bottom, often concrete work, and a marine contractor with a barge or a crane to get it in — plus the mobilization cost of bringing that equipment to your address whether the job takes a day or a week. Those three line items are absent from a floating port. There are no pilings, no concrete, and no heavy equipment mobilization, because the port floats on its own cubes and is held in place by anchors or a standoff off your existing structure.

    There is a permitting difference as well. In most Florida residential cases a floating vessel platform falls under the exemption in Fla. Stat. 403.813(1)(s) and does not require an Environmental Resource Permit, within the size limits in the statute. Driving pilings is a different kind of work in the eyes of a reviewing agency. That is not a promise that no approval is ever needed — sovereign submerged lands, water management district rules, local building codes and HOA policy can all still apply, and we walk through all of it in our Florida floating dock permit guide.

    The last difference is reversibility. A floating port can be unpinned, moved along the shoreline, or taken with you. A piling-mounted lift stays where it was driven.

    Two-craft setups

    Households with two skis have two reasonable options. The first is two ports side by side, each sized to its craft, which keeps each machine on its own drive-on ramp and lets you pull one out without touching the other. The second is running the ports off a shared cube dock or platform so you get a walkway between them instead of stepping across gunwales.     Hardware does not simply double. Two adjacent ports connected to each other often share anchoring, so you may need fewer anchors than two separate installs would call for. Send us the layout and we will count it properly rather than multiplying by two.

    Batching installs

    Because a jet ski port install is a short, light job, it is worth batching. If a neighbor on your canal or a few owners in the same community want ports, scheduling them on the same day means one trip for our crew instead of several. We regularly do multiple ports in a single community visit, and it is a practical way to keep the optional install line small. Community and lake associations should ask about this directly.

    The same logic applies to combining work: if you are adding a port at the same time as a dock or a swim platform, do them together. It is one delivery, one crew visit, and one anchoring plan for the whole shoreline instead of two that have to work around each other.
