OFW status covers National Parks, National Marine Sanctuaries, State Parks, all 43 State Aquatic Preserves, Wild and Scenic Rivers, and a list of special waters, under Rule 62-302.700(9), Florida Administrative Code.

Here is the arithmetic, using the stricter OFW limits so there is no doubt. A 10 × 20 ft dock is 200 sq ft, against an OFW limit of 500. A 12 × 20 ft dock — our largest prebuilt size — is 240 sq ft, still comfortably inside. A Max jet ski port is 15 × 5 ft, or 75 sq ft, against an OFW limit of 200. A large fixed dock can blow straight through these numbers. Our catalogue cannot, which is exactly why Palm Beach projects move so much faster than a pile-driven build.

A few things can still require review: sovereign submerged lands and the Letter of Consent, water management district rules, HOA or lake association policy, and attaching to a seawall where the jurisdiction treats attachment as a structural alteration.
