Floating Dock Removal in Central Florida

Sometimes a dock needs to come out. Maybe you are selling the property and the buyer does not want the dock. Maybe the dock is old, damaged, or you are replacing it with a new system. Docklife provides floating dock removal services across Central Florida.

    When to Remove a Dock

Common reasons our customers remove floating docks include property sales, dock replacement with a newer system, HOA rule changes, environmental requirements, and seasonal storage. On lakes with winter drawdowns or hurricane preparation routines, some homeowners remove their docks seasonally and reinstall in spring.

Old fixed docks that have deteriorated also need professional removal. Rotting wood, rusted hardware, and unstable pilings can be hazardous. Removing them properly protects the waterway and your property.

    Our Removal Process

For modular floating docks (including Docklife docks and similar systems), removal is straightforward. We disconnect the anchoring system, pull the dock to shore, disassemble the cubes and connectors, and stack everything for transport. The modular design means no cutting, breaking, or heavy demolition.

For fixed docks and hybrid systems, the process may involve cutting and removing wood or metal components, pulling pilings, and cleaning up hardware. We bring the equipment needed for safe removal without damaging your shoreline.

What Happens to the Old Dock

If the dock components are still in good condition, they can be reused, resold, or donated. Our HDPE cubes last 20+ years, so even used cubes often have plenty of life left in them. We can help you find buyers for used dock components or reconfigure them for a different layout.

For docks that are truly at end of life, we handle disposal responsibly. HDPE is recyclable. Wood components are disposed of according to local regulations. Hardware and metal are recycled.

    Service Area

We provide dock removal services throughout Central Florida, covering Orange County, Seminole County, Osceola County, Lake County, Polk County, and Volusia County. Properties on Lake Butler, Lake Apopka, East Lake Toho, and other area lakes are all within our regular service area.

    Seasonal Removal and Storage

Some customers prefer to remove their dock before hurricane season and reinstall after. We offer seasonal removal and reinstallation service — we pull the dock out, store the components safely, and put it back in when you are ready. This protects your investment from storm damage.

    Pricing

Removal pricing depends on dock size, type, anchoring system, and site access. Small modular docks can be removed quickly at lower cost. Large fixed docks with pilings take more time and equipment. We provide a quote after assessing your specific situation — call and describe what you have, and we will give you a ballpark on the phone.
