Residential Floating Dock Installation in Central Florida
Your lakefront or waterfront home deserves a dock that matches the lifestyle you bought the property for. Docklife provides residential floating dock systems designed for homeowners across Central Florida. From small fishing platforms to large entertainment decks, we build docks that fit your waterfront and your budget.
Made for Homeowners
We designed our dock system to install fast without disrupting your property. The modular cubes connect without welding or heavy equipment, and our crew handles every step of assembly and anchoring.
Our customers on Lake Butler, Lake Down, Lake Nona, and dozens of other Central Florida lakes typically have their docks in the water within a few hours once our crew begins installation.
Permit-Exempt Under Florida Law
Fixed docks in Florida can require months of county permits, state environmental reviews, and DEP approvals. Most residential floating docks are exempt from Environmental Resource Permitting under Fla. Stat. 403.813(1)(b) — up to 1,000 sq ft over water (500 sq ft in Outstanding Florida Waters), one per parcel, non-commercial. A Letter of Consent for state-owned submerged lands is typically still required, and local building and zoning rules apply. We prepare the documentation for you.
We have customers in Orange County, Seminole County, Lake County, Polk County, and Volusia County whose docks qualified for this exemption.
Design Your Perfect Dock
Our modular system means you choose the size and shape that fits your shoreline. Start with a small 6×8-foot platform and expand later. Add an L-shape for boat mooring. Build a T-dock for swimming and fishing. The possibilities are flexible because every cube connects to every other cube.
Want a premium look? Our patented decking system lets you add Trex composite decking (Enhance Basics, grooved boards with hidden fasteners over pressure-treated framing) on top of the float cubes for a high-end marina appearance.
Safe for Families
Our dock surfaces provide excellent traction even when wet. The textured HDPE surface reduces slip risk, making these docks safe for kids, pets, and older family members. Add our optional ladder for easy water access and cleats for securing your boat or kayak.
What It Costs
Our floating docks are priced by the cube: $105 per standard cube bare, or that plus Trex composite decking at $21 per framed square foot. In Florida, both numbers include delivery and professional installation. A 10 × 20 ft dock is 72 cubes — $7,560 bare or $11,838 Trex-decked. You can verify any quote by counting the cubes on your drawing.
Every price includes delivery and professional installation by our crew. Florida installations typically happen within a few weeks of ordering.
10-Year Warranty
Every residential dock we sell includes a 10-year manufacturer's warranty. The HDPE material is built to last 20+ years with proper care. It won't rot, rust, or degrade from UV exposure the way wood and metal docks do in Florida's climate.
